A number of IFT members volunteered their time on Saturday, June 11 and Wednesday, June 15 through IFT Cares at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana. Through their efforts on Saturday at a mobile pantry 72 households received food, 217 people were fed, 5,822 pounds of food was distributed, and a total of 4,657 meals were served. Wednesday's volunteers re-packed food for a total of 7,458 pounds of food packed, and a total of 5,966 meals were served. In addition, 12,488 pounds of food was donated from IFT's Expo Floor exhibiting companies to the Food Bank. To learn more about volunteer efforts in New Orleans with IFT Cares, view the video.
