IFT announced it has received eight awards in 2012 on behalf of its Annual Meeting and Food Expo, World Without Food Science video series, and membership recruitment campaign.
The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) has received eight awards in 2012 on behalf of its Annual Meeting and Food Expo, World Without Food Science video series, and membership recruitment campaign.
World Without Food Science
The World Without Food Science video series is a public education campaign created by IFT to generate awareness of the role that food science plays in ensuring a nutritious, safe and abundant food supply. The startling video shows what would happen in a grocery store if there was no food science. More information on the campaign is available at www.worldwithoutfoodscience.org.
IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo
IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo is a yearly conference and expo that brings together the most respected food professionals in industry, government, and academia from every facet of food science and technology. Learn more about this event by playing the video at this link.
Membership recruitment is the lifeline of the organization. Members of IFT have access to exclusive resources to help them understand what’s happening in the industry and the potential impact on themselves and their organizations.
“These awards recognize how hard our teams have worked this year across the board,” said IFT Executive Vice President Barbara Byrd Keenan. “IFT is proud to be recognized for these achievements because they bring us one step closer to achieving our mission of providing each and every person on the planet with access to a healthy, safe and abundant food supply.”
