Phil Perkins

Phil PerkinsPhil Perkins is a consultant with over 35 years of experience in the Food and Beverage Industry. In a professional capacity, Phil has worked with more than 150 food, ingredient and packaging companies in 20 countries throughout Europe, Central & South America, Africa, Australia, India, and the Far East.

Phil serves on the Board of IFT and is the Chair for the Board of Trustees for Feeding Tomorrow. Other Board experience includes the Grocery Manufacturers Association’s Science & Regulatory Affairs Executive Committee and their Science & Education Foundation. The Technical Advisory Board that Phil established for Bush Brothers in 2001 was one of the longest-running advisory board in the food industry and was called-out as a model for such a board at the IFT meeting in 2014.

Phil was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tennessee Department of Food Science and Technology from 2004 to 2015 where he taught classes on Leadership, Professional Development, Whisky and Chocolate. Phil also serves on the Institute of Agriculture Regional Advisory Committee. Phil is a co-owner of Knox Whiskey Works a new micro-distillery in Knoxville, Tennessee and he is actively involved in Special Olympics Golf.
