Ivette Bassa, CFS
Ivette A. Bassa is currently Vice-President of Research, Development & Quality (RD&Q) for the North America Region of Mondelēz International. As such, she provides leadership to the product and package development, corporate quality, regulatory and scientific affairs groups in the Region. She has 25+ years of experience within the food industry and has worked in multiple food categories and areas within R & D and Quality in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
Ivette was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and has a BS in Chemistry from that country and a Master of Science in Food Science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where she is a member of the Food Science Advisory Board. She is also member of the Institute of Food Technology (IFT) and Sigma Xi, the Scientific Honor Society. She has published three scientific papers, holds one patent, and is a Certified Food Scientist. Ivette has been recognized by the Hispanic Engineering National Achievement Awards Conference, Hispanic Magazine, and the Chicago YMCA.
