Feeding Tomorrow has partnered with General Mills to identify extraordinary graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in food science. General Mills will award one Feeding Tomorrow candidate a paid internship in Research & Development or Quality & Regulatory Operations for the summer of 2018.

General Mills is one of the largest consumer products manufacturers and marketers in the world, with over 100 brands that you – and millions of others – know and love.

An internship at General Mills is your chance to be part of a fun and collaborative team. During your internship, you will interact with senior leaders, build a professional network, and create lasting friendships with other interns working throughout our organization.

Feeding Tomorrow’s Intern+ offer package with General Mills includes:

  • One (1) paid summer internship for Summer of 2018 provided by General Mills
  • One (1) $4,800 tuition scholarship for 2018-2019 academic year provided by Feeding Tomorrow General Mills Scholarship Fund
  • Opportunity to attend IFT18 in Chicago, Illinois in July 2018
  • Opportunity to connect with other Intern+ recipients for additional networking and learning throughout the summer (virtually and in-person)

List of what General Mills is looking for in an intern:

  • Applicant must be a full-time graduate student enrolled in a MS or Ph.D. food science program with an interest in Research & Development or Quality & Regulatory Operations (must not graduate prior to June 2018)
  • Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Applicant must be a member of the IFT Student Association at the time of application
  • Applicant must be able to work a 10-week internship from June 4th – August 10th, 2018
  • Applicant must have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
