After seven successful years, including our most recent Wellness 14 conference held this past March, we regret to inform you that we will no longer be hosting an annual Wellness conference moving forward.
Since its inception in 2008, Wellness has brought hundreds of food professionals together to learn about the latest consumer trends, new product innovations and applications, and industry insights in food health and wellness. While attendee satisfaction for the event has been very favorable, ultimately we decided not to hold the event next year since the conference did not align with our future business objectives.
While there are no plans for a stand-alone, in-person event to replace this conference, we will continue to offer networking and education opportunities via IFT Divisions, Short Courses, Annual Meeting symposia, webcasts, and publications such as our Food Technology magazine and our peer-reviewed journals. Since we have members from industry, academia, and government, we have a variety of resources to draw from, and will look at a variety of options moving forward.
For all who have supported and participated in Wellness conferences in the past, we thank you for your dedication to this conference and to the profession, and look forward to your involvement in future food health and nutrition programs offered by IFT.
