College and university degrees that lead to careers in food manufacturing can be earned at:
California Polytechnic State University, Food Science and Nutrition Department, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407, at the Food Science Department of the University of California, Davis in Davis, CA, and at the Food Science and Nutrition Department of Chapman University, Orange, CA. Both departments are the only food science curriculums in the State of California reviewed and approved by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT). Other universities with IFT-approved four year food science curriculums are available throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
