Barrier
A layer of material designed to prevent migration of unwanted elements into a package.
Laminate
A package made by bonding together two or more layers of materials.
PET
Polyethylene Terephthalate.
Primary Package
A container which directly holds the product for sale (i.e. can, jar, or a carton).
Printability
The ability of a material or a surface to receive written matter or design.
Rancidity
A condition of spoiled oil characterized by objectionable odor and flavor.
Secondary Package
A container that holds a number of primary packages (i.e., a box).
