Examples of Integrated Resource Management careers can be found in a number of different functional areas:

Finance (general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit, cost accounting, budgeting).

Sales and Marketing (forecasting, new product concept, advertising and promotion, pricing, graphic design).

Manufacturing (engineering, quality assurance, operations, inventory management) and information technology (MIS, business analysts, systems analysts, programmer analysts, operations, technical assistance).

To manage the resources of a manufacturing plant, a solid background in the following subject matters is necessary:

Operations Mangement

College and university degrees leading to manufacturing careers include accounting, finance, marketing, management, engineering, MIS, computer science. An interdisciplinary degree would greatly enhance a person's ability to manage multiple resources.
