Lesson 5 Activity

Pretend that you are a Store Manager. Your ICS (or friendly computerized Inventory Control System) has just printed the daily Inventory Position Report that you requested.

Procedure:

- Prepare a brief daily inventory report consisting of several typical items in a supermarket.

- Fill out the order form for the quantities required. Use the optimal inventory formula to calculate values.

- What might be done to reduce inventory? Make suggestions based on the data given in the daily inventory report.
