This general session will offer a comprehensive review of FSMA. A team of key stakeholders in food policy will provide varying perspectives on what they know to date. Through this session, you will learn how to review your business practices based upon current requirements, and how to anticipate issues that may shape future requirements with potential implications to your business. You will also explore new policies and published guidelines, and the impact the 2012 election results will have on the FSMA implementation.
Leon Bruner, Senior Vice President for Scientific and Regulatory Affairs and Chief Science Officer, GMA
Dr. Bruner is a twenty-five year veteran of the consumer products industry. Before joining GMA he served in a variety of positions at The Procter & Gamble Company and The Gillette Company. Most recently he served as Vice President and Director of the Corporate Environment, Health and Safety Organization in P&G’s Gillette organization where he was responsible for product safety, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, environmental compliance, quality, sustainability and business continuity planning. Prior to joining the Gillette Company, Dr. Bruner worked for P&G’s Health and Beauty Care organization based in London, England. In this position he was internationally-recognized as an expert in the development, validation and regulatory acceptance of toxicity test methods.
