Lu Ann Williams, M.B.A., Head of Research, Innova Market Insights
Lu Ann Williams started her career in The Netherlands twenty years ago with Wolters Kluwer before becoming Leading Science Publisher for Elsevier. For the past fifteen years, she has been involved in the international food industry, where she partners with the world's largest food and beverage companies on product development and marketing strategies, trends analysis, open innovation projects, and technology scouting. Ms. Williams also oversees the content for the "Taste the Trend" Pavilion at the IFT Food Expo®.
Clara Tao, Ph.D., Director, Sensory & Consumer Insights, Tragon Corporation
Clara manages the Consumer Insights and Project Managers. She works with U.S. and international markets on product optimization to determine important sensory and analytical measures that predict product preferences, and identify combinations of important measures that will yield optimal product liking. Prior to joining Tragon, she worked for Jamba Juice as the Scientific Affairs Manager in food regulatory and sensory evaluation. She was also formerly with Safeway in Quality Assurance managing beverages (including carbonated soft drinks, juices, bottled water) and frozen products.
