- After small dip in 2011, salaries for food scientists have bounced back. U.S. members earned a median salary of $90,000 last year, up 3.4% from 2011.
- A total of 87% of survey respondents are either highly (39%) or somewhat (48%) satisfied with their jobs.
- The gender gap in entry-level salaries narrowed this year. The median salary for women with 0–1 years of experience was 91% of men’s with that level of experience.
