Mission
IFT is one of six organizations comprising the Food and Nutrition Science Alliance (FANSA), a
partnership of professional scientific societies whose members have joined forces to
speak with one voice on food and nutrition issues. FANSA's combined membership
includes more than 100,000 food, nutrition, and medical practitioners and
scientists.

- With over 3000 members, the American Society for

nutritional science through research, education, and clinical
practice.

- American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition
- ASPEN is concerned with the care of patients who
cannot digest food normally, and therefore have to be fed parenterally
(intravenously) or externally (by tube).
