Through the junior/senior scholarship program, IFT encourages deserving and
outstanding undergraduate students to continue pursuing a curriculum leading to a
B.S. in food science/technology, and areas specifically related to those
fields. Students must be enrolled in an IFT Approved Program.
(1) $10,535 American Institute of Baking (AIB)

(1) $2,250 Arthur T. Schramm Memorial
Established by Arthur’s wife, Alice T. Schramm, this scholarship is in memory of the former IFT member who worked at Food Materials Corporation.
(1) $5,000 General Mills

(3) $1,000 Givaudan Flavors
Corporate scholarships funded by Givaudan Flavors- the global leader in the flavors and fragrance industry.
(1) 2,500 IFT Foodservice Division Scholarship
This scholarship is available to a student pursuing a career that supports foodservice operations (hospitality, research chef program, and food industry).
(2) $500 IFT Food Microbiology Division
Student must be, or apply to become, a member of the IFT Food Microbiology Division at the time of the application.
Student must submit a statement of interest in food microbiology, including a description of career objectives and professional aspirations.
(2) $1,000 IFT New York Section
Scholarships awarded to students attending colleges in the Northeast.

This scholarship honors the past IFT presidents who served our organization.
(1) $2,000 IFT Quality Assurance Division Abe Mittler Memorial
Intended for a student taking or has taken at least one course in quality assurance and who demonstrates a definite interest in the quality assurance area.

Intended for a student taking or has taken at least one course in quality assurance and who demonstrates a definite interest in the quality assurance area.

This scholarship will be presented to a student studying food science, food engineering or applied microbiology as it relates to food preservation.

Scholarship in memory of former IFT Development Director.

Scholarship endowed by corporate sponsor McCormick & Company.
All IFT Scholarships and Fellowships will be distributed in two payments,
August 15 and January 15, through the department heads. Upon receiving each
payment we ask the department heads to verify registration of the
scholarship/fellowship recipients.
In addition, all recipients will receive recognition at a Regional Section
meeting where the university is located, by a representative of the sponsor
whenever possible.
