Awards

The Aquatic Food Products Division (AFPD) recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of aquatic food technology through industry sponsorships of its annual Division Lecturer and student paper competition.

The Division Lecturer Award provides a $1,000 travel honorarium and plaque recognizing contributions to the field. To nominate a person for scientific lecturer, contact the Aquatic Food Products Division Chair.

For the Student Paper Competition Awards, the AFPD sponsors first ($350), second ($250) and third ($150) place in recognition of their achievements to the field.

The AFPD also selects the National Sea Grant College Program paper competition winner who receives a $250 travel grant and certificate recognizing participation during IFT.  Interest in submitting an abstract in the student paper competition should contact the Aquatic Food Products Division Student Paper Competition Chair.
