Who are we? |
The Food Laws and Regulation Division of the Institute of Food
Technologists is composed of food scientists and technologists, research managers,
government regulators, and educators dealing with all aspects of federal, state and
international laws and regulations that have relevance to food and/or food components. The
Division was established in 1989 and currently has almost 1000 members.

What are the Benefits of Membership? |
Membership in the Division provides a means for maintaining
contact with others food professionals working with food laws and regulations. A member is
kept apprised of current workshops, relevant literature, and internet resources, and is
provided an opportunity to discuss common problems with other food law and regulations
specialists.
The division sponsors a number of benefits to its members:

Division meetings at the
IFT Annual Meeting & Food Expo.

regulations. The second is used to distribute
newsletters, election details and ballots, and related administrative
information. |
 | An Employment Recruiting Committee which posts "positions
available" in the regulatory area on the listserv. Information is available to
Division members on a "as received" basis. |
 | An annual business meeting of the division is held during the IFT
Annual Meeting. Reports of the officers are presented, election results are reported, and
future plans and other items of business are discussed with members.
