FLRD Awards Committee - The Committee is to make recommendations to the Executive Committee for individuals who should be considered for nomination to be an IFT Fellow, any of the IFT Awards, and most importantly for the FLRD Division Achievement Award which is to “ … be presented on an annual basis to an individual for a long term substantive contribution to the field of food laws and regulations, including teaching, legal practice, government, industrial and consumer service …”

FLRD George Burdock Student Travel Award and Luncheon Ticket Award Committee – This Committee works with Division Student Representatives and the Burdock Group to develop the procedures for students who wish to apply for the awards. An anonymous jury of three division members selects the award winners. For the 2008 award process, George Burdock of the Burdock Group is supporting two student travel awards of $500 each and the Division is supporting one student travel award of $500; plus the Division will purchase up to $500 in tickets for winning students to attend the Division Annual Meeting and Luncheon.
