Product Idea to Market - co-sponsored with the Marketing and Management
Division Moving a product idea into the marketplace as a product will be discussed by industry and legal experts, with special attention to international and intellectual property and its proper protection. | Session 16: Labeling Calorie-Reduced Macronutrients
- co-sponsored with the Nutrition Division Symposium will focus on the use of calorie-reduced ingredients that replace major food components and how they can be labeled. The speakers will discuss consumer desires regarding reduced fat and reduced calorie foods, and how to inform consumers about calorie-reduced ingredients, as well as the regulatory issues that relate to partially available macronutrients. | Session 53: Dietary and Environmental Estrogens: Hormone Disrupters - co-sponsored with the Toxicology and Safety Evaluation Division |
Synergistic activity of a variety of estrogenic active ingredients, including phytochemicals, environmental contaminants, and pesticide residues continues to merit attention in the scientific and medical communities.
