About Us
The International Division
is dedicated to serve IFT and particularly the International Members
and to foster International Programs. The Division provides a forum
for members both outside and inside the United States.
Membership in the International Division is approximately 500. There
are approximately 4000 IFT members living outside the US, therefore
an opportunity exists for greater Membership and greater service
to Members.
Membership Information
Division Membership is open to any member of IFT, with payment of
ID dues, currently $10 / year. The ID is governed by an Executive
Committee, elected by the ID Membership. The Executive Committee
consists of 16 members; Chair, Chair Elect, Past Chair, Secretary,
four members at large, a Councilor and Alternate Councilor (all
elected by the ID Membership) plus two Student Representatives,
Newsletter Editor and Associate Editors and an Elsevier Liaison.
Objectives
- to promote international scientific communication, technology transfer and
exchange among food scientists throughout the world.
- to stimulate an understanding of the increasing international interdependence of the food supply system.
- to foster an awareness of economic competition within the global food upply
system while seeking international competition.
- to promote cooperative international relationships to alleviate world food problems.
- to promote and participate actively in Institute programs towards the alleviation or elimination of world food problems.

about the division to our members |
The International Division encourages any input and will consider
any activities that foster increased service. Please feel free to
