The objectives of the Division are to:
  • Promote communication and interaction among innovative food technologists in industry, government, and academia.

  • Provide a nucleus within IFT for organizing symposia and other programs for the dissemination of information pertaining to nonthermal food processing.

  • Promote cooperative endeavors with other professional societies concerned with nonthermal food processing.

  • Ensure that nonthermal food processing is an integral and essential component of food science and technology curricula.
