Southeastern Mills attains SQF level 3 certification

January 18, 2013

Southeastern Mills has announced that it has received Level 3 Certification from the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Institute at its Custom Seasoning Solutions facility in Rome, Ga., and the Superior Quality Foods facility in Ontario, Calif. Having become certified at both the Custom Food Coatings and First Avenue facilities in late 2011, with these new certifications, Southeastern Mills is now SQF Level 3 Certified at all manufacturing locations.

Southeastern Mills has made significant investments in the areas of quality and food safety in order to receive this certification, and will continue to work towards maintaining the certification. The SQF program is a rigorous food safety and quality management system recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative, as well as retailers and foodservice providers worldwide. The program implements food safety and quality monitoring programs to be practiced in-house, and SQF Level 3 certification is the highest level of certification awarded by the SQF Institute.
