Chobani announces food incubator
Greek yogurt leader Chobani announced plans to launch its Chobani Food Incubator, a program intended to invest in and cultivate emerging food entrepreneurs. The New York City–based center will provide food entrepreneurs with resources, workspace, and support.

The six-month program will offer young and growing companies office space and a commercial kitchen, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with the Chobani leadership team and enroll in classes and training programs. Chobani also hopes to assist the entrepreneurs with establishing connections with top chefs and food leaders in the industry. At the end of the program, each participant will have the opportunity to present to leading food distributors and retailers.

“Today we're opening our doors to entrepreneurs who share our vision for better food for tomorrow—food that's natural and affordable,” said Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and CEO of Chobani. “Making a product the right way is not always easy, but we've proven that the model works. I'm excited to work with entrepreneurs who share our goal and who can benefit from our experience.”

Chobani will open the call for pitches from interested entrepreneurs in December 2014, selecting up to 10 companies to join the first round.
