Food facilities that are required to register with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) must renew their registration this year between October 1 and December 31. The agency has recently added new resources to assist food facilities in this process.

On October 25, the FDA hosted a webinar to walk stakeholders through the renewal process and answer any questions they may have. It has published a recording of that webinar on its website to support stakeholders in need of this information.

In addition, the FDA also recently published a fact sheet (pdf) to explain what food facilities need to know about this year’s biennial registration renewal period. The fact sheet answers questions such as: Who needs to register? How can food facilities go about renewing their registration? And how can facilities save time during the renewal process?
