Del Monte Fresh Produce, a North American marketer and distributor of fresh and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables, has announced the creation of a unified North America new product development team to better serve its consumers and integrate Mann Packing, a Del Monte Fresh company, into its ongoing product development processes.

As part of this change, Alex McCloskey, director of new product development at Mann Packing, will expand his role to oversee not only Mann’s, but also Del Monte branded products across North America. McCloskey is an industry veteran with experience in the agriculture and food industries, as well as a deep understanding of both brands. His team will be responsible for leading the innovation and new development processes for all Del Monte Fresh Produce brands on a national basis.

The new role will provide Del Monte Fresh Produce with a strong new product development pipeline, prioritizing consumer demand within the company through product innovation. Incorporating this addition under the Del Monte Fresh Produce umbrella will not only continue to create opportunities for former Mann Packing employees but will also fortify the internal expertise across the Del Monte Fresh Produce business, ultimately providing a strengthened consumer experience nationwide.
