event, you can still take advantage of the education and information
that was shared.

exciting food and beverage prototypes that attendees can sample. This
year, Food Technology Senior Associate Editor Donald Pszczola
explored the expo floor and in a three-part series offers you a
round-up of some of these novel food concepts. In Sunday's article, “Sampling the Expo: Part One,” Don highlights 10 different exhibitors and their prototypes that focus on functionality. In Monday's article, “Sampling the Expo: Beverages,”
Don examines beverage prototypes from 10 exhibitors. To end the expo,
Don looked at the health-promoting, or nutraceutical, benefits of
exhibitors' products in his article “Sample the Expo: Ingredients for Health Benefits.”

IFT RETURNS TO THE WINDY CITY
IFT10
Annual Meeting & Food Expo
Chicago, Illinois
Mark your calendars for the 2010 IFT Annual Meeting & Food Expo®
in Chicago, Ill., July 17–21. It's exciting to be returning the Windy
City—the headquarters of IFT—but we are also looking forward to
bringing you some thrilling changes we have in store for the show. For
the first time,
our
event will be co-located with the Food Processing Suppliers Association
(FPSA) Process Expo, bringing together two premier meetings and tens of
thousands of food industry professionals interested in product
development, processing, packaging, and the science of food. Read more
about this exciting news here.
In addition, the Annual Meeting Scientific Program Advisory Panel
has created a new framework for the Annual Meeting Scientific Program
to kick off at the 2010 meeting. This new framework seeks to streamline
programming; provide increased opportunities for member involvement;
reduce the number of programming “buckets” for easier navigation;
reduce the number of sessions to minimize overlap and conflicts;
highlight key issues and core sciences; and, in doing so, increase
attendee satisfaction. Click here to read more about the changes in store for next year.
