The popularity of Greek yogurt and its extra protein has been extended to dips. Dannon, White Plains, N.Y., recently launched Oikos Greek Yogurt Dips, which are available in four varieties—Cucumber Dill, French Onion, Roasted Red Pepper, and Vegetable & Herb. The dips come in 12-oz plastic tubs and contain Greek yogurt and 25 calories, 1 g of fat, and 2 g of protein per 2-tablespoon serving. The chilled product carries a suggested retail price of $3.99.

Meanwhile, General Mills, Minneapolis, Minn., is test marketing Yoplait Greek Dippers with Nature Valley Crunchy Multigrain Chips. The product consists of strawberry yogurt with honey and sea salt-flavored chips and honey vanilla yogurt with honey and sea salt-flavored chips. It is sold in cartons of eight snack boxes (four of each flavor). Each 5.3-oz snack box contains a 4-oz cup of yogurt and package of dipping chips. Each snack box delivers 270 calories, 11 g of protein, 19 g of whole grain, and 2 g of fiber.

The hot cereal features a unique whole grain blend, including quinoa, oats, barley, and wheat, and each serving provides 8 g of protein and 5 g of fiber. It comes in three flavors: maple brown sugar crunch, cranberry almond, and cinnamon raisin pecan. Nourish hot cereal is available in a two-pack of single-serve cups that can be quickly prepared stirring in hot water or by adding tap water and heating in a microwave. Nuts and fruit are provided in a removable cap and can be stirred into the hot cereal for a delicious taste experience.

The company has also rolled out a line of nutrition bars under the Nourish brand. Each bar provides 5 g of fiber and 8 g of protein. Flavors include dark chocolate nut delight, cranberry almond, and lemon twist.
