announced a new line of Seafood Bowls that bear the Marine Stewardship Council’s (MSC) label for sustainable, wild-caught seafood—the first frozen entree line in North America to earn the MSC Chain of Custody certification.

“Artisan Bistro’s initiative to provide consumers with frozen entrees that are traceable to an MSC-certified fishery will help to ensure sustainable seafood for this and future generations,” says Geoff Bolan, MSC’s U.S. program director.

The line’s four varieties—Wild Alaskan Salmon in Dijon Sauce, Italian-Style Shrimp & Penne, New England-Style Cod Fish, and Orange Miso Cod Fish—are all non-GMO, gluten-free, and made with 70% or more organic vegetables and grains. They are available at Whole Foods and other natural food stores for a suggested retail price of $5.39.

Daily Greens Half Pint juicesKid-friendly green juice
Organic juice company Daily Greens launched its cold-pressed Half Pint juices intended to encourage kids to drink their greens, which were developed in part by founder Shauna Martin’s 10-year-old son. The 8-ounce juices, which combine raw, organic, and fair-trade ingredients, are high pressure processed to retain their freshness and nutrients.

To appeal to young palates, the juices balance the goodness of greens with kid-friendly fruits; the Green Thing flavor pairs spinach and mint with banana, strawberry, and pineapple, and the Berry Tasty variety combines spinach and beets with strawberries and blueberries. The Peel Out flavor, meanwhile, provides additional calories with its hemp seeds and also includes wheatgrass, coconut nectar, and cocoa.

The naturally vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free juices contain no preservatives or artificial flavorings and retail for a suggested price of $3.99. They are available exclusively at Whole Foods, and Daily Greens donates $0.10 from each bottle sold to the Whole Kids Foundation.

Alpina Café SelectionsCaffeinated yogurt
Alpina Foods recently introduced what the company is calling the first-ever line of yogurt made with real coffee. Alpina Café Selections use real Colombian coffee and provide 30–50 milligrams of caffeine per serving. Also packed with 12 grams of protein and 20% of the recommended daily value of calcium, the 120-calorie yogurts are ideal for both breakfast and snack time.

“We are always looking to innovate in the dairy aisle,” says Gustavo Badino, Alpina Foods’ general manager. “Once we found a recipe that tasted just like the consumer’s favorite flavor and were able to include actual Colombian coffee, we knew we had a unique product the consumer would want and enjoy.”

The line includes four flavors: Mocha, Caramel Macchiato, Vanilla Latte, and Coffee. They can be found at select regional and independent retailers, including ShopRite, Shaw’s, Lowe’s Markets, and Fairway Markets, for a suggested retail price of $1.39.
