Bone broths pack protein punch
Pacific Foods is extending its line of popular Organic Bone Broths with the addition of duck and poultry flavors. The broths are made by slowly simmering organic poultry bones and combining them with fresh vegetables, herbs, vinegar, and water. The result is a savory broth loaded with rich flavor and packed with seven grams of protein.
Among the ingredients used to create the broths is ethically sourced duck from organic farms located just miles from the company’s headquarters. The poultry version of the broth is the first shelf-stable product to combine chicken, turkey, and duck into a single broth that is suitable for cooking or sipping.
Organic Bone Broths are available online and at select West Coast natural food retailers for a suggested retail price of $4.99 to $5.99 per carton.
“Consumers are demanding fresher, cleaner dressings and dips that deliver incredible flavor without having to add artificial ingredients or preservatives,” says Mandy Bottomlee, marketing director for the Good Foods brand. “We’re excited that we are able to offer a line of dressings based on real, simple ingredients like fresh herbs, fresh produce, and cold-pressed juices.”
All Good Foods’ dressings are high pressure processed to capture the flavors and to maintain freshness. The line is available nationwide in the produce section, with a suggested retail price of $3.99 for an 8.8-ounce bottle.
“The brand will satisfy consumers searching the aisles for organic, vegan-friendly foods with natural flavorings and the ‘no added sugar’ label,” says Emma Birks, W.K. Kellogg brand manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The new line launches in the United Kingdom in January with a suggested retail price ranging from £2.99 for the organic whole grain wheats to £3.79 for the granolas.
