Starting your first job can be scary. You’re not sure of what to expect or what is expected of you. Hear from a food science human resource manager and a food science manager on what to expect during your first day, week and month of being on the job.
In addition, recent graduates will speak to what they have learned since graduating and starting their first job, and will share advice to help you have a successful transition to working full time.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn what information you will need for Human Relations in order to be prepared on your first day of work
- Learn common expectations for the first week and month of working in the food science industry
- Explore what a common day may consist of after the first month of working
- Understand expectations and misconceptions that recent graduates had about working and how those differed from what their actual working experience has been
