Hosted by IFT and the Latin American and Caribbean Association of Food Science and Technology (ALACCTA), the Food Science & Innovation Conference is the event for the region’s food professionals to meet and exchange perspectives on leading practices, issues and hot topics impacting the global food industry.

IFT & ALACCTA’s inaugural Food Science & Innovation Conference will serve as a catalyst for interactive discussion around the latest research, insights, scientific perspectives, and concerns in the global food industry. While topics will span the global scale, focus areas will include:

  • Health & Wellness
  • Innovations in Food Processing
  • Food Safety

Through presentations with leading food science and technology experts and interactive dialogue with other professionals, participants will:

  • Build skill sets to stay current, marketable and competitive in the food industry
  • Get the latest information on issues in the U.S., Europe and Latin America
  • Understand global food safety research needs
  • Hear industry leaders’ perspectives  on issues impacting global trade, product development and consumer choices
  • Learn more about how the Food Safety Modernization Act will impact global trade
  • Network with counterparts at other organizations who have applied or are in the process of applying scientific and business strategies that work within their businesses

  • Product developers, regulatory experts, nutritionists and other industry professionals responsible for research and development and consumer marketing
