Institute of Food Technologists Receives 7 Awards in 2014

CHICAGO—The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), a nonprofit scientific society for professionals engaged in food science, food technology, and related areas in industry, academia, and government today announced it has received seven awards in 2014 on behalf of FutureFood 2050, Food Technology magazine, and the IFT Annual Event.

FutureFood 2050
The FutureFood 2050 publishing initiative by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) aims to explore how increasingly sophisticated science and technology will help feed the world’s projected 9 billion-plus people in 2050. Each month the site features a new set of independent-minded thought leaders around the globe discussing topics such as obesity, innovations in agriculture, food waste, and more. In addition, a documentary movie is in the works to look at how the science of food will contribute solutions to feeding the world.
