to the Western New York Section of the Institute of Food Technologists

 

The section includes members from Western and Central New York State.  The members of the Western New York IFT are professionals involved in all segments of the food industry, academia and government.  Please click the buttons in the left menu to find out more about the organization, membership and activities of the section.

 

 The October 2008 WNYIFT meeting is scheduled for Oct. 22 starting at 4:00 PM at Knapp Winery.  Our Speaker, Mr. Steve DiFrancesco, will provide an overview of the Vineyard program at Knapp as well as winemaking and distillation processes, and will host a tour of the Winery.  For more details and registration info please click the Upcoming Meeting button in the left menu.
 

WNYIFT is pleased to congratulate the student members for the outstanding performance at the last national IFT meeting in New Orleans.  Besides the numerous prizes awarded in the Research Paper Competitions, Cornell University was a finalist in the College Bowl and the Product Development competitions.  WNYIFT is proud to be one of the sponsors of the Cornell University team.  Here are a couple of photos taken during the Product Development competition:
