The Culinary Innovation Center (CIC) is Wegmans’ newest manufacturing plant, the $36 million facility opened in March 2009. Located at 360 Wegmans Market Street, the primary intent of this building is Research and Development. The core business in this facility is divided into two areas: The Central Kitchen (CK) and Marinades. The CK is responsible for producing Wegmans brand soups and sauces which are then packaged and sent to the stores. Marinades is responsible for marinating and packaging various beef, pork, and chicken products which are also then sent to the stores. The Culinary Innovation Center is an exciting new endeavor for the company and they look forward to sharing their experience with WNYIFT. 

Important to know prior to the tour:

• Most of the facility is 34 degrees; so please bring a coat for the tour. 
• There is no jewelry allowed on the production floor, with the exception of a plain wedding band. So all earrings, facial piercings, necklaces, watches, pins, rings, etc will need to be removed.
• For everyone’s safety, everyone should wear flat shoes and that are not open backed.
