Ron Sasiela, past chair of LIIFT sets a world record!!

Ron was R&D Director at Modern Maid Food Products in Jamaica, N.Y. and then Director at Coldwater Seafood Corp. (renamed Icelandic USA) for 23 years in Cambridge, MD. He retired in 2006 and now operates a food management con-sulting business, seafoodconsul-tancy.com. He earned a Chemistry B.S. from LIU’s Brooklyn campus, then con-tinuing doing graduate work there. In 2000, he earned a Masters of Engineering Management from George Washing-ton University. While at Coldwater, he and his technical team were challenged with setting a new Guinness World Re-cord in 2004. Ron will tel us about the colorful origin of that famous book Then he takes us through the planning and un-expected circuitous route that finally leads to his company being awarded that record.
