OUR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The purpose of this SECTION shall be to support improvement of the food supply through science, technology and education.
To promote interest in the field of food science and technology;
To encourage and provide means for discussing and disseminating technical and other information relating to the production, processing, packaging
distribution, preparation, evaluation and utilization of food;
To advance the profession of food science and technology by promomoting the maintenance of high professional standards among its members and
To provide cooperative relations with the faculties and students of educational institutions in the Section area that give food science and technology and related courses
OUR DEFINED AREA OF OPERATION
Our Section represents National IFT members from Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau & Suffolk counties.
These are bounded by the zip codes areas of 110 to 119 inclusive.
Our membership includes people from the tri-state region.
