Join us at our next meeting as Ms. Joan Harvey provides a technical overview on health & wellness through innovation, including a tasting demonstration of commercial no and low sugar yogurt products.  We will taste several different market products, including but not limited, to aspartame, stevia and sucralose sweetened commercial products.   Ms. Harvey will also demonstrate new flavor modulation technology flavored yogurt samples with reduced sugar. 

Ms. Joan Harvey studied chemistry at both Penn State and Berks Vocational Technical School.  Joan has split her professional career between consumer goods-confections and flavor development. She is currently employed at IFF as the North American technical director for sweet and dairy

She worked at Godiva Chocolatier, Hershey Foods and Cadbury as a product developer and flavorist.  She spent time at David Michael, AM Todd, and IFF creating and leading flavor development.   She is recognized as a creative thinker and technology leader. Ms. Harvey has several patents ranging from taste receptor technology, warming and cooling, reaction chemistry sweeteners with flavor aldehydes and more. Ms. Harvey is a certified flavor chemist since the early 1990s.
