Welcome to the
Web Site of the New York Institute of Food Technologists (NYIFT) and the
NYIFT was established in 1942 as a regional section
of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) “the society for food science
and technology”. As a nonprofit scientific and educational society with
over 1,500 members working in industry, academia and government, our role is to
bring together scientists and other professionals working in all disciplines of
food science and technology.

NYIFT/CNJ provides many services to our members. We

Act as a local
organization to bring together professionals working in the field of food
science and food technology, providing opportunities for connections among members.
2.
Inform members
on current topics in the industry through speakers at our monthly meetings and our annual Supplier’s Day.
3.
Communicate employment opportunities to among members,
individual and corporate.
4.
Support students
studying in the field of Food Science via annual scholarships.
5.
Provide funds to
support member awards to the IFT

Issue monthly newsletter to communicate
activities in the section
