April Meeting

National Nutrition Programs:
Are They All Moving in the Same Direction?

The Metro-DC Affiliate of the Society for Nutrition Education (SNE)
and Institute of Food Technologists

WhenWednesday, April 12, 2000 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm

Where:  National Institutes of Health Campus, Bldg. 31 "C Wing" Room 6C-10

Representatives from the Departments of Health and Human Services, United States Department of Agriculture, the Food and Drug Administration and Industry will gather to discuss the focus of several national nutrition programs that are making their debut this spring. Our speakers will convey the rationale for the need for multiple nutrition programs, where their programs are going, and what are the anticipated outcomes of each. Of equal importance is an evaluation of the estimated impact of these programs on the nation’s food industry and the translation of these programs to the public.

(Note: The speakers will be asked to provide a one-page abstract describing their nutrition program for background material)
