October Meeting

Continuity of Business Operations When a Crisis Hits

Program: Will your organization know how to deal with a significant epidemic or public health crisis? What plans should you have in place to protect your organization, your operations, yourself and your family? How do we create such plans? A key to providing business resilience is developing a platform of business continuity to minimize the likelihood of significant interruption if and when an incident does occur.

At this meeting, Dr. Henry Taylor, of John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, will discuss planning for a public health crisis such as a flu pandemic or similar sweeping emergency situation. Dr. Taylor brings many years of public health experience in helping communities identify and address their own health issues, pandemic avian influenza, and public health practice, and will provide ideas for developing plans within our organizations.
