12th World Congress on Food Science and Technology is initiated

The first event surrounding the 12th International Congress on Food Science and Technology scheduled for Chicago, July 16 - 21, 2003, has been initiated.  This congress will feature two Internet discussions on topics of relevance to the future of food science and technology (1) Plant-Derived Vaccines: An International Health Delivery System, and (2) Creative Fermentation Technology for the Future.

Members of the IFT Award Committee urge you to nominate a colleague, friend, or mentor for the IFT Achievement Award. The deadline for receipt of nominations is December 1, 2002. Renew your membership in the Washington DC Section IFT for the 2002-2003 season! 

Your continued membership in the Washington, DC Section IFT offers many benefits, including advance notice of meetings, regular issues of Capital Voices (the DC Section IFT newsletter) and reduced admission fees to programs.  The 2002-2003 season runs from September 1, 2002 through August 31, 2003.  Membership is $10.00 per person and $5.00 for students.  Please renew your membership by December 31, 2002.  We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at an upcoming meeting!
