Justin Shimek, PhD

Justin Shimek is a Senior Technical Leader at the Mattson Company with responsibility for the technical quality of concepts, products, and commercialization activity. He guides Mattson’s vibrant technical community of cross-trained food scientists, chefs, commercialization specialists, and regulatory experts.

Justin is a food product and process development veteran who learned his craft inside some of the food and beverage industry’s most recognized firms–General Mills, Nestle, E. & J. Gallo Winery, and Del Monte Foods.

Justin is an active member and volunteer leader at IFT. He is the current Chair of Feeding Tomorrow and serves on the Board of Directors.
