Background

Pam Vaillancourt has more than 30 years experience in the food industry as a technical manager and visionary business executive, with a record of establishing sales territories, leveraging solution selling and high-level executive networking to generate enterprise leads and develop profitable partnerships.

Prior work included business development for clients utilizing consumer and sensory research, and/or product development services and technical sales. She has also worked in food service quality control, product development and regulatory affairs.

Currently, she is an Account Manager for IMCD Food Group US.

IFT Highlights

Pam has become a Professional Member of IFT in 1982. She served on the QA Division Executive Committee as their liaison to the IFT Technical and Presentation Subcommittee, served as prior Board Member for IFT, has served as a Trustee for the IFT Foundation. After years of dedicated service to the industry, in 2009, she was awarded the distinguished honor of IFT Fellow for her leadership skills and mentorship of food science students.

She is Past Chair of Sections & Divisions Committee, and Past Chair of the QA Division. She was an active member of the Puget Sound Institute of Food Technologists, and the Chicago Section and served as Chairperson for each Section. She is now a member of the Northern California Section IFT.

Pam is a Certified Food Scientist and has served as an IFTSA College Bowl Judge for 19 years. She is dedicated to ensuring students and young professionals are supported and have the opportunity to actively grow, learn, and network within IFT to advance the science of food and food safety.

Education

B.S. in Food Science and Technology from Washington State University

M.S. in Food Science from the University of Washington
