Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Inc. added three new flavors to its Edy’s Dreamery Ice Cream line in July. Cherry Chip ba da Bing features vanilla ice cream with bing cherries, chocolate chips, and cherry swirls. Nothing But Chocolate! features milk and dark chocolate ice creams with fudge brownies and fudge swirls. Banana Split features vanilla and banana ice creams with fudge swirls, sliced bananas, and strawberries. This brings the total flavor selection of the brand to 21. The pint containers are available nationwide. Dryer’s is based in Oakland, Calif.

Southeastern Mills Inc. introduced its Country Biscuit Mix in July. The quick and easy mix requires consumers to just add water or buttermilk, knead briefly, cut, and bake. The company, based in Rome, Ga., produces batters and breadings, seasonings and marinades, sauce and gravy mixes, specialty baking mixes, flour, corn meal, and grits.

Tropicana Products Inc. has introduced a fortified orange juice targeted at children. Tropicana Pure Premium Healthy Kids is fortified with a mixture of vitamins A and E and calcium, plus the vitamin C and other nutrients inherent in orange juice. A serving of the juice equals a fruit serving. The product is available in a 64-oz carton and single-serve, 8-oz, on-the-go sizes bundled into a 6-pack. Tropicana, a division of PepsiCo, Inc., produces and markets branded fruit juices. The company is based in Bradenton, Fla.

A&B Ingredients introduced a new line of organic rice starch and organic rice flour in August. The line includes a raw “cook-up” organic rice starch, an instant pre-cooked rice starch, and an organic flour series. The company, based in Fairfield, N.J., produces rice-based ingredients.

Each 4 oz.- serving is equal to one of the British Dietetic Association’s “5 A Day” fruit or vegetable portions. Pepsi-Cola North America introduced Pepsi Blue in August. The berry-flavored, blue-hued cola is being offered in 20-oz and 1-L bottles. The company is based in Purchase, N.Y.
