Godiva Chocolatier introduced the Caramel Nouveau Collection in September. Each piece features a dual layer of complementary flavors covered in Godiva’s signature dark and milk chocolate. The new flavors are Chocolate Caramel and Caramel, which features chocolate caramel layered on top of a smooth caramel covered in milk chocolate; Toffee Almond and Chocolate Caramel, which contains bits of roasted almonds in English toffee caramel under a chocolate caramel layer covered in milk chocolate; Pecan and Chocolate Caramel, which features pecan pieces tucked within caramel under a smooth layer of chocolate caramel covered in milk chocolate; and Raspberry and Caramel, which features tart raspberry over a creamy layer of caramel covered in dark chocolate. Godiva is based in Belgium. 

Frito-Lay introduced Lay’s Stax potato crisps in August. The crisps are stacked in a portable, resealable, crush-resistant container and are a fun snack that is convenient to throw in a bag when on the go or to enjoy at home. Their unique shape also makes them great for dipping. Lay’s Stax come in Original, Sour Cream & Onion, Barbecue, and Cheddar flavors. Lay’s Stax potato crisps is another Frito-Lay offering with 0 g of trans fat. The company is headquartered in Purchase, N.Y.

Passion Café introduced Aphrodisiac-Flavored Coffees in July. The company says the products are blends of specialty-grade Arabica beans and the pure flavors of history’s most celebrated aphrodisiacs. The coffees come in Chocolate Chile, Chocolate Lavender, Chile Vanilla, Vanilla Licorice, Vanilla Rose, Indian Spice, and Champagne flavors. The products are all natural, except for the Champagne variety, which does contain both natural and artificial ingredients. Passion Café is based in Santa Barbara, Calif.

SunRoma introduced SunRoma Sunny Mary non-alcoholic golden tomato cocktail mix in August. It contains Golden Roma Tomatoes, said to be the first yellow processing tomato, and is available to foodservice operators. The ready-to-serve product is infused with lime, celery, pepper, and onion and can be served as a regular juice drink or used as a mixer. The company is based in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
