As people age, some degree of cognitive decline is inevitable, but minimizing the extent of age-related cognitive decline is possible.

In a prospective study published in the journal Neurology by scientists at the Jean Mayer U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University and Rush University Medical Center, the researchers determined that green leafy vegetables appear to stave off some of the effects that aging has on the brain.
