National Flavors Co., a Michigan-based producer of flavors and extracts, has announced that Brian Briggs has been named chief executive officer, effective April 2, 2020. Briggs succeeds Dan Hinkle, National Flavors’ current CEO, who will transition to the board of directors.

Briggs has more than 25 years of experience helping organizations grow through strategic planning, operational excellence, and mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, Briggs served as president of TIC Gums. He received a BS in finance and economics from Cornell University and has completed executive programs through Harvard, Stanford, and the Wharton School of Business.

“I’m honored to join the talented National Flavors team, and I look forward to working with them to implement strategies that will leverage the strong foundation that has been built. We will continue to be focused on providing solutions and a customer experience that allows our partners to achieve their growth expectations,” said Briggs.
