Philadelphia’s soda tax may not have desired effect
According to CNBC, since Philadelphia’s sweetened beverage tax of 1.5 cents per ounce took effect in January 2017, it has generated less revenue than projected and may not have had the impact on obesity that lawmakers were hoping.
