LabCorp’s Covance business has acquired Food Perspectives (FPI), a leader in consumer research and testing. FPI will become part of Covance’s food solutions business, and the closing is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2017.
The addition of FPI gives Covance increased breadth and depth of consumer research expertise, along with a Midwest consumer research center that offers more high-prep kitchens and focus group rooms, and broader demographic reach with additional overall capacity and scale for larger studies. This transaction reflects the company’s mission of improving health and lives through integrated end-to-end technical solutions to the food, beverage, and nutrition industries.
