FDA extends comment period for nutrition innovation strategy

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is extending the public comment period for the agency’s Nutrition Innovation Strategy by 45 days. The docket will now remain open until October 11, 2018. The comment period for the notice of public meeting and request for comments were published in the Federal Register on June 27, 2018.
The FDA is extending the comment period in response to numerous stakeholder requests for additional time and an opportunity to review the public meeting materials. FDA will post materials from the July 26 Nutrition Innovation Strategy public meeting to provide more information to those wishing to comment on the open docket. The additional materials will include speaker presentation slides, breakout session summary notes, and the meeting transcript.
